These vintage chests were made in America, with design inspired by French Neoclassical stylings. They each have shapely, serpentine bodies with graceful concave-scalloped sides, and elongated/flattened backsides; this lends these pieces to also function beautifully as wall consoles. They are heavily adorned in decorative molding and various trimmings about the drawer edges, down the front side posts, and center sides. Each of the two drawers is fitted with neoclassical style brass hardware with an escutcheon at their center. The chests are presented upon four rounded and fluted legs which terminate into their spiral-carved feet. Gold/bronze accents contrast and pop against the white, adding a cheerful vividness to the design.
